About

I am a post-doc (i.e. I finished my PhD and now I spend a lot of time worrying/in denial about what comes next in my fledgling career) in my mid-20’s.

I initially trained as a psychologist, but took a groin-strainingly large side-step over to biochemistry and neuroscience for my PhD, which I completed in December 2013.

Despite all its faults, I love doing research and want to share what I do, and create a more open dialogue between scientists and the public. As well as have the occasional rant about something.

I’m currently based in Cardiff with my Husband – a secondary school teacher at a specialist autistic school. When not science-ing, I’m trying to teach myself photography (and have been doing the 365 photo challenge – one photo a day, every day for a year!), and have been attempting to improve my sewing skills.
